CSK Become IPL Champions for the Fourth Time

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) secured their fourth IPL title in style as they clinched a 27-run win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2021 final in Dubai.

The final of the IPL 2021 was played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 15th October 2021 in Dubai. In the match, KKR had won the toss and chose to bowl first. CSK went along smoothly, posting a 192/3 in 20 overs. KKR batters could only muster 165/9 in reply, and they lost the final by 27 runs. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) secured their fourth Indian Premier League (IPL) title. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly along with Board secretary Jay Shah handed over the trophy to CSK skipper MS Dhoni. Dhoni soon handed over the trophy to his CSK teammates as the entire contingent erupted in jubilation.The players were also joined by their wives and children in the trophy celebration. This was the fourth time that Dhoni won the IPL trophy. Now CSK is second to Mumbai Indians (MI) in the list of most IPLs won. MI has won 5 IPL titles. 


Speaking to ANI, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that usually after the victory we celebrate but right now Dhoni is focussed on mentoring the Indian Team in the ongoing T20 tournament in UAE and Oman. We shall wait for the skipper (captain) to return to India as there can be no celebration without MS Dhoni. We shall have a get together once he returns to India after the T20 World Cup.
