Cricketer Wriddhiman Saha Threatened by a Journalist- Boria Majumder

A few months back, 37 year old Indian Cricketer Wriddhiman Saha without disclosing someone’s identity claimed that he was threatened and bullied by a senior sports journalist, the entire cricketing industry and fans were in shock. He even shared a screenshot of the ‘threatening’ messages sent to him by a senior journalist, He shared this screenshot with his personal Twitter account. Although nothing was confirmed, many fans suspected the sports journalist to be Boria Majumder who is a senior sports journalist. Later Boria  Majumdar himself uploaded a video on Twitter to identify himself as the accused. Replying to the controversies Majumdar tweeted that the cricketer has tampered the screenshot and his tweets have badly affected the journalist’s reputation, he further added that his lawyers have sent a notice on defamation charges to cricketer Wriddhiman Saha and also he himself has requested BCCI to hold a fair investigation on the matter.

BCCI had made a three member committee to further investigate this controversy between the Indian cricketer and Journalist. According to the reports it has been learned that journalist Majumdar is likely to get a two-year ban for his involvement in the Saha case as he was found guilty by the investigating board. And now, as per the latest media reports in News 18, Boria Majumder has been found guilty in the case and will be reportedly banned by the BCCI for two years. He will reportedly not be allowed inside any cricket stadium in the country and also they will apparently write to ICC so that the world body blacklist him. “We will be informing all state units of the Indian cricket board to not allow him inside stadiums. Players will be asked not to engage with him,” a top BCCI official said under the condition that his identity won’t be revealed.
