Boney Kapoor’s House Staff Test Positive for COVID -19
The domestic help Charan Sahu, aged 23, was living with Boney Kapoor and his family has tested positive for COVID-19.
The domestic help Charan Sahu, aged 23, was living with Boney Kapoor and his family at Green Acres, Lokhandwala Complex. Charan Sahu started feeling sick on 16th May evening, so Boney Kapoor sent him for the COVID - 19 test. Charan tested positive for COVID -19 on Tuesday 19th May. He was kept in isolation and then later (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) BMC took him to a quarantine center. Boney Kapoor had issued a written statement which was shared on social media by his daughter film star Janhvi Kapoor.
The statement said that “I would like to inform you that our house staff has tested positive for Covid-19. He was unwell on Saturday evening, was sent for tests and kept in isolation. My children, our other staff at home and I, are all fine and none of us are showing any symptoms.” After one house help had tested positive and so all other staff members and family members were tested. Then on 22nd May two more of his staff members tested positive for the virus, however, they are all asymptomatic. Boney Kapoor is making sure that all his staff members are safe and get all the necessary treatment.
He said that his family is under self-quarantine for the next 14 days and will follow all government guidelines strictly. He also thanked the Government of Maharashtra and the BMC for their swift response and he hoped that the staff member would recover and be back at home with us soon. Now famous Bollywood Director Karan Johar’s two house staff have tested positive for COVID-19. The BMC have quarantined them and the family has tested negative and will practise home isolation for 14 days.
