Bihar: 3 Accidents in 24 Hours; Deaf Man Loses Life

In Gaya, three fatal road accidents in 24 hours—including one that killed a Deaf motorcyclist—highlighted the deadly impact of speeding and negligence.

In a grim 24-hour span, Gaya witnessed a string of road tragedies driven by speed and negligence, claiming three lives and leaving one person critically injured.

Among the incidents, one story cuts especially deep. Late on the night of March 29, near the Commissioner’s residence in the city, a motorcycle violently collided with a Toto e-rickshaw. The rider, Subhash Chakravarty, suffered severe injuries. Bystanders rushed him to a hospital, but he could not be saved.

Subhash, the youngest son in his family, was Deaf—making the loss even more heartbreaking for his loved ones, who are now grappling with grief and silence.

Authorities have initiated an investigation, while details remain scarce. The other two accidents, involving hearing individuals, also ended in fatalities—marking a devastating day on Gaya’s roads.
