Bengaluru Police Imposes Unique Rule

The Bengaluru Traffic police have come with a unique way to deal with traffic violators.

The new Motor Vehicle Amendment Act is a new law that focuses on vehicles. According to the new law, if a person breaks any rule such breaking the signal, over speeding, not wearing a helmet they have pay huge fines. The fines were thousands of rupees. Some even paid lakhs of rupees as fine.

The Indian citizens were not at all happy by this law but the government said that this law is important to maintain road safety. One of the most common violations is not wearing a helmet. But Bengaluru traffic police have found a unique way to deal with violators. When the traffic police catch someone not wearing a helmet, they will first take the bike into custody. Then Instead of fining them for not wearing helmets, the traffic police will make them use the money to buy a helmet.

Once the person buys the helmet and shows it to the police they will return the bike to them. One traffic police said that fining people is useless and a waste of their money. This idea will make sure people are safe.
