Ayodhya: 6 Days to Ram Mandir Inauguration

The preparation updates of the inauguration ceremony of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir scheduled for 22nd January 2024.

In a momentous occasion set to shape history, the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is on the horizon, bringing forth a series of captivating developments. The 'garbhagriha,' the inner sanctum of the temple, achieved completion on January 8, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the grand construction. As preparations unfold, golden doors are being meticulously installed at the entrance, with the initial gate already adorned with a layer of gold. The revered idol of 'Ram Lala,' standing at four feet and three inches, embodies the descriptions found in the Ramcharitmanas and Valmiki Ramayana, crafted entirely from stone and weighing a formidable 1.5 tons. The commencement of worship rituals is scheduled for January 16, leading up to the auspicious installation of the idol in the 'garbhagriha' on January 18.

Beyond the temple's sacred precincts, the festivities extend to the broader community. Chef Vishnu Manohar, a multiple global record holder, is gearing up to prepare a record-breaking 7 tonnes of 'Ram Halwa' in an enormous 12-tonne cauldron during the 'pran pratishtha puja' on January 22, 2024. This delectable offering is anticipated to be distributed among more than 1.5 lakh devotees and VIPs attending the historic event. The grandeur of the ceremony is further underscored by the announcement of a public holiday, dry day, and no-meat day on January 22, 2024, across Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. The vast guest list of over 7,000 attendees includes luminaries such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Amitabh Bachchan, Mukesh Ambani, and Gautam Adani.

In a heartening display of inclusivity, efforts have been made to ensure that even prisoners can partake in the spiritual experience. Jail superintendents across Uttar Pradesh have been instructed to arrange live telecasts of the inauguration ceremony and 'pran pratishtha puja' within prison premises. As an additional gesture, 50,000 copies each of Shri Hanuman Chalisa and Sunderkand are being distributed to prisoners. The global resonance of the event is apparent, with Vishwa Hindu Parishad erecting more than 40 billboards showcasing the Ram Mandir in 10 states of America. Uber has also joined the celebration by introducing electric auto-rickshaw services in Ayodhya for pollution-free, smooth, and affordable local transportation. As the world awaits this historic moment, the Ram Mandir inauguration stands as a testament to cultural vibrancy and global unity in celebration of a cherished spiritual milestone.
