Aryan Khan to Remain in Jail with NCB till 7 October

Aryan Khan, son of movie star Shah Rukh Khan, was denied bail and will be kept in NCB custody till 7th October.

On 4 October a bail hearing was held at a Mumbai court to decide whether or not to give bail to Aryan Khan, son of movie star Shah Rukh Khan, who had been arrested in the Mumbai drugs-on-cruise case.

Aryan Khan's parents Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan did not attend the bail hearing. The NCB said that after going through Aryan Khan’s chats, they have found that he has bought drugs from a peddler who is connected to an international drug cartel. The NCB said they also found "code names" in Aryan’s chats which they feel are related to drugs and various bank transfers that had to be verified. This is why they need to question him and need to keep him with them till 11 October. They said if they do not question Aryan how they will catch the drug peddlers. Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said, “Investigators found nothing in his bag. The news about NCB finding drugs on Aryan is false. Nothing has been recovered from him. The officials had only found chats on his phone which were of no significance. In his entire stay abroad he has never taken drugs. This is why he must be given bail.”

After listening to the NCB and Aryan Khan’s Satish Maneshinde, the court said, “Investigation is of prime importance and it needs to be carried out. It benefits both the accused and the investigator. This is why

Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha and the 5 others arrested on the cruise will have to stay in NCB custody till 7 october. Aryan Khan was "calm" while his friends Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha broke down when the judge announced the decision. Currently this case is being investigated by Sameer Wankhede. Interestingly, Wankhede is the same person who had investigated the drug scandal related to Sushant Singh Rajput and his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. Wankhede is married to popular Marathi actress Kranti Redkar who has appeared with Ajay Devgn in his film gangajal. Many say that Wankhede is very determined to catch Bollywood celebrities who are doing drugs and now he is investigating Aryan Khan.
