Armed Forces Thank COVID Warriors

The military will conduct fly-pasts, IAF will shower petals on hospitals from air and the Navy will light up ships to thank COVID-19 warriors.

The current lockdown which was to be lifted on 3rd May has been extended for 2 weeks till 17th May. This is only for Red Zones. In Orange and Green Zones the lockdown will be lifted in stages and strict rules will have to be followed by all. Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Forces conducted a press conference yesterday evening. The CDS said that healthcare workers in India are working very hard to contain COVID-19. He said that the three armed forces fully support India in such a difficult time. 

To show thanks to all the COVID-19 warriors. On May 3, there are some special activities that the nation will get to witness from all the three Services. The Air Force will conduct fly-pasts from Srinagar to Thiruvananthapuram and another from Dibrugarh in Assam to Kutch in Gujarat. IAF will also be showering petals on hospitals across the country which are involved in the fight against COVID-19. The Army will conduct band displays outside COVID-19 hospitals in almost every district of our country. They will also lay wreaths at the police memorial on May 3,"  The Navy will be out on the seas displaying their formations. As a show of thanks, the Navy will make sure all lights of ships are on.” There are no problems in dealing with Coronavirus in the Army. The first patient in the Army is cured and the jawan is back on duty. The Army so far has had only 14 cases of which five have been cured and they have returned to work.
