Amit Shah Proposes Hindi as National Language

Home Minister Amit Shah has proposed the concept of “One Nation, One language.”He has stressed that making Hindi the official language will pave the way for India’s development.

Currently, India has no national language. State governments use the language of their state while the Union government uses English and Hindi.14th September is known as “Hindi Diwas” in India. It means Hindi day. On this day Home Minister Amit Shah Tweeted and said that There are many languages in India and they have their own value. But it is important for the nation to have one language so that the whole world can see. There is only one language that can unite the country. That language is Hindi.On Hindi Diwas, he encouraged Indian citizens to talk in their mother tongue and also in Hindi. 

He said that there must be “One Nation, One language” which means that one India one language. This is not the first time the BJp have tried to make Hindi the official language. They have done it before as well. However, many people in India are not happy with this. Non-Hindi speaking states such as Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andra Pradesh are protested against what Amit Shah said. Many political leaders said that Hindi is not everyone’s mother tongue and India has so many languages.
