Air India One To Take Off this Year

India to get two new Planes for the new Prime Minister for travel after 27 years.

The Indian government has purchased two new Boeing 777 planes for travel on long haul flights. These aircraft will be called “Air India One”. The planes being built in the will have advanced security systems like, missile warning and countermeasure systems, and state of the art communications. The plane will be used by the President, Vice President and the PM. The first plane is supposed to arrive in December of this year and the second a few months after.

These new planes will be replacing the old  Boeing 747 Jumbo Jets that have been in service for 27 years.  Air India will be maintaining the planes with their own engineers and will make sure they are always ready to fly whenever needed. Four  IAF Pilots have been in the US training to fly the new planes. The planes will be retrofitted with beds, wardrobe and meeting rooms where the PM can brief the media.
