Actor Vishal Sponsor’s Puneeth Rajkumar’s 1800 Students

Tamil actor Vishal vows to fund the education of Puneeth Rajkumar's 1,800 students.

Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar's sudden passing in Bengaluru came as a shock to his colleagues in the film industry as well as his fans. The actor was laid to rest with full state honours. Karnataka CM, actor Yash, and a few other celebs besides family and relatives were present at the last rites. He supported 26 orphanages, 15 free schools, 16 old age homes, and 19 goshalas. After his sudden passing on October 29, he also donated his eyes and became the third member of his family to do so after his father Dr Rajkumar and mother Parvathamma. He also supported the education of 1,800 students and gave funds to many Kannada medium schools. Everyone thought that after Puneeth’s death the education of all these students would suffer. However, now Tamil superstar Vishal has come forward to help. At the pre-release event of Tamil actor Vishal’s upcoming film Enemy, which  co-stars Arya in the lead, Vishal said that, ‘“Puneeth Rajkumar was not just a good actor but was a good friend too. I haven’t seen such a down-to-earth superstar like him. He was doing lots of social activities. I promise to take care of the 1,800 students who are getting free education from Puneeth Rajkumar from next year,”
