Famous Bollywood & TV actor Vikas Sethi, best known for his role in TV shows Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, & Sasural Simar Ka and the 2001 Karan Johar film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham... in which he played Robbie, a friend of Poo (Kareena Kapoor) passed away in his sleep because of a heart attack on 7th September 2024 in Nashik. Vikas was 48 years old and married to his 2nd wife, Jhanvi Sethi. Jhanvi revealed that she and Vikas were in Nashik to attend a family function. She said "After we reached my mother's house in Nashik, he had vomiting and loose motions. He didn't want to go to the hospital so we asked the doctor to come home... when I went to wake him up at around 6 am in the morning (on 8th September 2024), he was no more. The doctor there told us he passed away last night in his sleep due to cardiac arrest." Vikas’s body was brought to Mumbai on 9th September 2024 where his funeral was held. Several celebrities including Hiten Tejwani, Sharad Kelkar, Jaswir Kaur, Karan Kundra, Deepak Tijori, etc. attended his funeral. A video of Vikas’s mother Surekha Sethi breaking down and crying uncontrollably upon seeing her son's mortal remains was shared by news channels and went viral on social media. Vikas is survived by his mother, wife and twin sons - Rudraveer & Rajveer. Fans and colleagues continue to offer their heartfelt messages and condolences.
