Aadhar is Now Voluntary for Mobiles & Bank Accounts

The Government changes some the Aadhar laws.

The Government has decided to change 3 laws about the use of Aadhar cards. Which are The Telegraph Act, Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and the Aadhar act. Now it will not be compulsory to show your Aadhar card to open a new bank account or to obtain a new Sim card. The consumer will have the choice of deciding which ID proof they want to show. They have done this so the citizens will have the right to decide if they want to share their details or not. If a person is willing to share his Aadhar card, he just has to scan his fingerprint and all his details can be used.

The Government  has proposed to delete a child’s data once the child turns 18. This means that the UIDAI will have to delete all of the child’s Data.

Some companies were worried  of extra paperwork because of the cancellation of Aadhar. Now if people choose to use Aadhar their workload will reduce. The Government has decided to punish those who do not follow these rules and force people to share their Aadhar details.
