7 Days, Multiple Shocking Cases! When Will It End?
In just one week, India has witnessed shocking cases of sexual violence across all ages and regions. These stories remind us that silence and inaction can no longer be an option
ISH News continues to bring stories that matter stories that move, inform, and sometimes, shake us to the core. Recently, we came across a post by The Indian Idiot that highlighted shocking incidents of sexual violence across India. The details change every week, but the pain and injustice remain the same.
In the past week alone, reports have surfaced from different parts of the country a 7-year-old girl attacked in a school washroom in Jaipur, a 23-year-old medical student gang-raped outside her college in West Bengal, a 19-year-old harassed by a professor in Bengaluru, and a teacher assaulted by gym instructors in Gurgaon. Cases include assaults on minors, women with disabilities, and even a baby as young as 14 months.
These horrifying stories are not just statistics; they represent real lives, shattered families, and a society that continues to fail its most vulnerable. The trauma lingers long after the headlines fade.
This is not just crime, it's a reflection of our collective silence and systemic failure. Each victim deserves justice, dignity, and protection. As a society, we must speak up against injustice, demand stronger laws, and teach respect, consent, and empathy from an early age.
We cannot allow this to become normal. These are not just breaking news stories, they are a breaking of our conscience. It’s time to say, “Enough.”
