Two boys, aged 10 and 11 years, allegedly gang-raped a five-year-old girl in a village in Siwan district of Bihar. The incident took place on Saturday 3rd April evening when the girl and other kids were playing in the area. Around 5:30 pm, the two minor accused took her to the nearby bushes, where they allegedly gang-raped her. When she returned, she was crying, and there were bloodstains on her clothes. She narrated her ordeal to her mother, following which the police were informed and a case was registered. According to a news published by The Times of India, the 11 year old boy was a local resident of the village while the 10 year old boy was from. He had come to stay with his maternal grandfather in the village. After the girl’s parents filed the police complaint, the 11 year old boy was shifted to some other place by his family members, and the 10 year old boy’s relatives sent him back to UP.

Furthermore, when the police went to their respective houses, the male relatives of both the boys were also not found in the village. Following this, the police told the female family members of the boys families to bring them to the police station. On Wednesday 7th April, the 11 year old was produced before the local police. A police official said, “The 11 year old boy’s medical examination has been completed. We will take him to court to decide what is the next step.  The girl’s blood-stained clothes were taken for forensic examination. The minor girl has taken "the names of both boys before police."
