2 CSK Players Test Positive & Suresh Raina Leaves

Two members of the Chennai Super Kings team have tested positive for COVID-19 and Suresh Raina has dropped out of the tournament citing personal reasons.

Just a few weeks before the IPL 2020, Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Deepak Chahar, wicketkeeper-batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad and 12 members of their support staff have tested positive for the coronavirus in Dubai. All the members of the Chennai Super Kings who have tested positive for Covid-19 are stable and have been isolated. CSK is following all safety protocols. The player and the support staff will be in isolation for 2 weeks.

After 2 weeks of isolation, they all have to do 2 COVID tests 24 hours apart. If tests are negative then can resume working. A 58-year-old uncle of CSK cricketer Suresh Raina died while four members of his family sustained injuries in an attack by robbers in Punjab's Pathankot district. Because of this Suresh Raina has said that he will not be playing in the IPL. However there are rumours that this was not the reason why Raina dropped out of the IPL. According to a report by Outlook magazine,  Raina was unhappy with the hotel room he was given. Raina is said to have found the rules of the bio-bubble claustrophobic and wanted a room with a balcony like the captain MS Dhoni. According to the report, Chennai Super Kings team owner N. Srinivasan is upset that Raina left the team so suddenly. He said that sometimes ‘Sometimes Success Gets Into Head,' He said MS Dhoni is not worried about the situation at all and is in complete control.
