T20 World Cup 2021 Final Match between Australia and New Zealand was held at the Dubai International Stadium. Australia had won the toss and captain Aaron Finch had elected to bowl first.New Zealand scored 172/4 in 20 overs. When it was Australia’s turn to bat, Astonishing knocks fromMitchell Marsh and David Warner helped Australia score 173/2 wickets in 18.5 overs and win the match. Australia has won the T20 world cup for the 1st time. Australia won the ICC ODI World Cup in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 & 2015. They have also won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2006 & 2009. Although New Zealand faltered at the final checkpoint, they did well throughout the tournament.

Even Pakistan could have lifted the T20 World Cup trophy but they lost against Australia in the semi-finals. 

After Australia won the match, there was a viral video in which team mates Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis could be seen drinking beer from their shoe to celebrate their victory. Many of you must be disgusted but let me tell you that this practice is very popular in Australia, where it is called a shoey. It is performed to bring good fortune, a hazing punishment, for celebration or at a party. In the 1900s, people used to even drink Champagne from the high heels of women to show off their wealth at fancy parties. 

Correction : Australia won the ICC ODI World Cup in 2003 and not 2005.
