Be Confident & Believe in Yourself

A motivational story about the importance of being confident.

Once a man was visiting an elephant camp. While walking around the park he saw that the elephants were not kept in cages. Only a small piece of rope was tied to their legs. Only because of the rope there could not escape the park. The man kept on gazing at the elephants. He thought, that why didn’t the elephants use their strength to break the rope and escape the camp. The Elephants were not even trying to break the small rope.

The man became very confused and wanted to know the reason. He saw an elephant trainer nearby. He went to the trainer and asked him, “The elephants are tied only by a small rope. Why don’t they easily break it and escape?”The trainer replied, “When these elephants were very young and smaller in size, we used the same size rope to tie them. At that age, it was enough to hold them. They couldn’t break the ropes that time. As they grew up, they got conditioned (habit) and they believed that they cannot break it. They still believe that the rope can hold them so they never try to break free.”

Moral: No matter how much the world tries to hold you back, be confident and always continue with the belief that what you want to achieve is possible. Believing you can become successful is the most important step in actually achieving it.
