Now for the last four days, wildfires have been burning in different regions of the state due to the rising temperatures.

Since the beginning of 2020, Uttarakhand has had to deal with 46 such wildfires. These fires have burnt 51.34 hectares of land and killed many animals in the area. In the Garhwal region there are 16 incidents of forest fires. Till now two people have lost their lives due to the fires and one person has been injured.

These fires are extremely dangerous and have been burning for 4 days.  But the Indian media has not covered the news at all. On Twitter, people were very angry and said that when the Australian fires happened, Indian media continuously kept receiving news about it. But they have not bothered to talk about UA. People have been surprised over the natural calamities that are occurring in 2020. First the COVID-19 outbreak, then cyclone amphan, then locusts attacks and now the UA fires.
