Nepali Climber Climbs Mount Everest 25 Times

Nepali climber Kami Rita Sherpa reached the summit of Mount Everest for the 25th time, breaking his own record for the most summits of the highest mountain in the world.

No one can climb Mount Everest which is in Nepal alone. If you want to climb that mountain you need a guide. These guides carry luggage, food and lay ropes and ladders on the mountain. Nepal’s economy is fully dependent on foreigners who come to climb everest. Without these guides, foreigners will not be able to climb and the economy would collapse. Kami Rita is a Nepali Mountain Climber and a guide. He is very hardworking. He has a world record of climbing the highest number of mountains in the world. He was to climb the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest for the 25th time. Before he started climbing he said, “It isn't about breaking records... My aim was to celebrate my silver jubilee by climbing 25 times in 2020 at the age of 50, but Covid didn't let that happen. So this year I will make my dream come true.” 

 

On 7th May, climbing Mount Everest for the 25th time, he has now made a world record. Kami has been a guide for more than two decades. He climbed the mount Everest for the first time in 1994 when he was working for a trekking company. Since then, he has climbed Everest almost every year.  Kami has also climbed the world's second-highest mountain, K2 in Pakistan.
