Milk Costs Rs. 140/L in Pakistan

The abysmal state of the Pakistani economy led to the prices of milk to skyrocket on the eve of Muharram.

The Pakistan economy is facing many problems. Let me tell you about one such problem. During Muharram, or stalls are set up in different parts of Pakistan to  offer milk, juices and cold water to those participating in processions. Due to demand for milk at these stalls, the price of milk increased. How much did it increase? It became (Pakistani Rupees) Rs 140 for one liter. This is so shocking! The price of petrol and diesel were priced at a lesser cost. One liter of petrol cost Rs. 113 and diesel was sold at Rs. 91 for one liter.

A Pakistani resident said that he is shocked that Milk has become more expensive than petrol and Diesel. This has never happened before.  Pakistani residents say that Ministers did not do anything to control the prices. Do you know that milk was never cheap in Pakistan. The official retail price was fixed at Rs. 94 a liter.

This shows the economic condition of Pakistan.
