iPhone12 will be Made in India

Apple has now decided to stop manufacturing in China and start making its iPhones in India.

The USA and China are both in a trade war. To avoid further complication, Apple has decided to completely stop manufacturing its iPhone in China. Apple was already manufacturing 6 models of the iPhone in India. These include the iPhone 11 and iPhone XR as well as dated models such as the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7.

Apple was manufacturing mobiles in India in partnership with a Taiwan based company named Wistron. They have been manufacturing iPhones in India since May 2017. 

Now Apple is planning to launch its latest model which is the iPhone 12 in October. The iPhone 12 will now be made in India.  Apple has a plant in Peenya, Bengaluru. They are planning to start a new plant in Narsapur in Kolar district of Karnataka. In the new plant Apple is planning to make an investment of Rs 2,900 crore and they will hire 10,000 people. Apple is also planning to start manufacturing the iPhone SE (2020) by this year's end in India.
