Farmers Stop Jahnvi Kapoor’s Shoot in Punjab

Actress Janhvi Kapoor’s shoot was halted by angry farmers in Punjab. Watch our latest video to learn more.

Janhvi Kapoor started shooting for a film called "Good Luck Jerry" last week in Punjab. The film is produced by Anand L Rai's Colour Yellow Productions and directed by Sidharth Sengupta. The shoot was going on in Bassi Pathana area of Punjab. How the shoot was stopped when a group of farmers barged in on the set. A local police officer said that the protesters told the crew that the Bollywood celebrities have not made any statements on the protests or shown support to the farmers. The farmers insisted that Jahnvi show support to the farmers on social media. 

Jahnvi Kapoor then posted an Instagram story in which she wrote:

"Farmers are at the heart of our country. I recognise and value the role that they play in feeding our nation. I hope a resolution is reached soon that benefits the farmers," After she posted on instagram, farmers went back and the shoot resumed. Good Luck Jerry will star Janhvi Kapoor in the lead. She is joined by stellar performers like Deepak Dobriyal, Meeta Vashishth and Neeraj Sood. The shooting of the film is expected to continue till March.
