Amazon Creates 1,300 Job Vacancies in India

Amazon creates many job opportunities in India due to availability of skilled and talented employees.

The online company Amazon has been expanding its business in India. The company has branched out in the field of entertainment, voice assistant, online payments and also food retail. This why the company has created many job opportunities in India.

At the end of 2018 out of Amazon’s 6.1 lakh global employees, 60,000 employees were from India. At the end of 2018 out of Amazon’s 6.1 lakh global employees, 60,000 employees were from India. Amazon hires most of their employees from Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.

In Asia, Amazon has the highest number of job opportunities in India. India has 1,300 job openings compared to China which has 467, Japan has 381, Australia has 250 and singapore has 174  job openings.

A company spokeswoman said that, Amazon feels there is a lot of talent in India. She also said that, since the company is growing very fast, they are always looking for employees who are skilled in marketing, software development, product management, photography, web development, etc.

The Indian Government is changing some of its e-commerce laws. These laws are about the big discounts online companies provide to attract customers.

For a big company like Amazon, these changes could be a big problem. Amazon feels that generating employment in the country might help to change the government's mind regarding these laws.
