Year 2020, taught us a lot. It is better that instead of setting unrealistic goals, this year we make realistic promises to ourselves. Promises that will keep us healthy and happy in 2021!

Year 2020 has finally ended! For most of the people year-end is very important as it marks the beginning of better and a promising next year. We may have hated the year 2020 but it taught us a lot. It taught us that it is useless to plan ahead and set unrealistic resolutions for ourselves. Do we really follow our New Year resolutions?

Not so much. So, it is better that instead of setting unrealistic goals, this year we make realistic promises to ourselves. Promises that will keep us healthy and happy in 2021!

1. Practise Meditation: In the year 2020, Mental health was one of the most talked about topics. The uncertainty and social isolation taught us the importance of mental health. Meditation reduces stress, regulates negative emotions, but it will only help if you practise it regularly.

2. Prioritize Your Health: Staying indoors for a long period had a harmful effect on our physical and mental health both. Whatever the situation, health should be your priority next year. When things get back to normal, it is important that you do not get back to your fast paced usual lifestyle. Remember to take it slow when and always prioritize your health.

3. Spend Time with Your People: Most of us are waiting to get back to our older lives when meeting your favourite people was easy and safe. Now that we cannot do that, we realise how we took those days for granted. So promise yourself to spend time with your people and create memories. Who knows what the future holds!

4. Plan Your Finances: This year there were many financial difficulties for many people. It taught us that spending money on trivial things is useless. It is Important to save money for a more secure future. It is important to follow your budget and plan your expenses wisely

5. Travel As Often As You Can: Taking a break and travelling is important. We all need a vacation from time to time. Take out the time to visit all the places on your wishlist and do so unapologetically!

The Bottomline: All these New Year resolutions are inspired by this year. No matter how much you plan and promise to achieve, something unexpected is always likely to happen.  This year make a resolution to live in the moment and be grateful for all that you already have.
