The Real Difference Between Ghee & Vegetable Oil. 

Refined oils are obtained after treating natural oils with various chemicals and thus oil has disadvantages that can turn out to be harmful in the long run. The refinement process has dangerous effects on the liver, skin and respiratory system.Refined oils can also cause diseases such as cancer, diabetes, stroke, and kidney issues. 

Ghee is produced by heating butter to remove milk solids and water. Ghee apart from enhancing the taste, it also provides strength, vigour, and vitality to the body. 

But these days to maintain fitness, people have started cutting down on ghee and have started to include refined oils in their kitchen which are much more harmful than ghee.

Now, let’s take a look at the health benefits of ghee in detail:

Ghee contains a type of fat that is healthy and can make you burn fat and lose weight.

Ghee fats which are processed & absorbed by the liver and burned as energy. Thus, ghee is an excellent source of energy for athletes and people with an active lifestyle or anyone who finds it difficult to get through the day.

The fats present in Ghee help in reducing the levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) and increases the levels of good cholesterol (HDL).

Ghee helps in digestion of food and keeps the digestive tract healthy. 

Being rich in vitamin D & E and loaded with detoxification properties, ghee balances the hormones that maintain healthy metabolism and reduces the chances of disease. 

These days, there are high cases of people complaining of dryness, itching, burning and aching in eyes. And, Ayurveda suggests cow ghee is the best tonic for the eyes. Ghee has Significant levels of vitamin A in ghee helps in maintaining eye health.

High levels of vitamin K2 in ghee helps the body absorb calcium that promotes healthy bone health and prevents tooth decay.

If you still want to use oil try using olive oil, butter, sesame oil, coconut oil], as they are better. But please completely avoid dalda/vanaspati as it is loaded with a bad type of fat and causes health problems.

  1. Whatever fat you choose to use please do not use it in excess. Measure the serving size before cooking. 

  2. No matter how healthy Ghee or Oil, there is all fat which will increase the fat in your body. 

  3. Eat a balanced diet of vegetables, whole grains and fat so that you remain healthy.
